General and Colorectal Surgery. After my MB BS from University of Calcutta in 1996, I did my basic surgical training and national Masters level University surgical training in Kathmandu. I then came to UK in 2000 and completed my higher surgical training in General and Colorectal Surgery from the West Midlands and North West of England. After this, I did a year of fellowship in Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery in Ninewells Hospital Dundee. I have been practising as Consultant General and Colorectal surgeon at James Paget University Hospital, Great Yarmouth from May 2011.

Essence of practice
I am a General and Colorectal Surgeon with interest in laparoscopic surgery. My practice involves laparoscopic surgery in gall bladder, hernia and colorectal disorders. I have also been providing colonoscopy and open surgery services in lower gastrointestinal conditions. I have been strongly involved with delivery of both undergraduate and post graduate medical education in the University of East Anglia and hold Honorary Senior Lecturer position.
