Mr Rob Shepheard
Mr Shepheard is an Audiologist specialising in the management of those with hearing loss, tinnitus or other auditory conditions, by accessing the very latest, discreet hearing technologies and therapies available only in private practice he is able to help those with a wide range of hearing disorders.
After completing his training at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, in London at Charing Cross Hospital, and The Royal National ENT Hospital, Grays Inn Road, he has worked in our regions Hospitals for some 26 years.
For the last 15 years in addition to his clinical role in helping those with hearing disorders, he has had a special interest in developing initiatives used to conserve auditory health and prevent induced tinnitus or deafness. Due to his interest in motor sport and skills in audiology he was asked by the FIA (the world governing body of motor sport) to research the issue of noise exposure and hearing in Formula One and he has presented papers on the subject both in the UK and overseas. Mr Shepheard is an inaugural member of an international committee created by the Health & Safety Executive concerned with developing and implementing improved procedures involved in hearing protection. He prides himself in helping to innovate on how hearing healthcare is considered and addressed, and continues to drive the necessity for recognition of improvements in these aspects of health. Along with colleagues he created the regions only dedicated Tinnitus Management Clinic with access to the latest beneficial technologies.
Mr Shepheard is a Member of the British Academy of Audiology, British Society of Audiology, British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, and is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and the Council for Clinical Physiologists. He is married and has two children.
