Age Related Macular Degeneration
Retinal Vein Occlusions.

Intravitreal injections of Avastin, Lucentis and Ozurdex.
OCT screening for age related macular degeneration.
Fluorescein and Indocyanine Green Angiography.
Prof Burton graduated from Cambridge University in 1990 and went on to train in Ophthalmology at the world famous Moorfields Eye Hospital completing a retinal fellowship in 2005 and working there as a consultant before moving to Norfolk in 2007.
He has published 6 chapters, 31 papers and is actively involved in research studies for Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy and Retinal Vein Occlusions.
He now runs the Macular Degeneration service at the James Paget University Hospital which was nominated for a national award for excellence in 2012. He has extensive experience using intravitreal Lucentis, Aflibercept, Avastin and Ozurdex steroid implants.
He also has an interest in Uveitis and Neuro-ophthalmology having had fellowship training in both sub-specialities at St Thomas’ Hospital and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
He regularly performs Micro Incision Cataract Surgery.
