Meet the team
Prof Ben Burton is a consultant ophthalmologist whose specialist interests are Cataract Surgery, Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy and Retinal Vein Occlusions. Services he offers include: Cataract surgery, Intravitreal injections of Avastin, Lucentis, Aflibercept, Iluvien and ozurdex, Retinal Laser, Yag Laser, OCT screening for age related macular degeneration, Fluorescein and Indocyanine Green Angiography.
Mr Tom Butler specialising in refractive cataract surgery, cornea and ocular surface disease. He trained in Leeds and Nottingham, before gaining international sub-speciality training at the Sydney Eye Hospital, and the Save Sight Institute, University of Sydney, Australia, where he developed his skills in corneal surgery, corneal transplantation and complex cataract surgery.

Mrs Bridget Hemmant specialises in small incision cataract surgery, oculoplastic and lacrimal surgery. She also performs cosmetic surgery, fine line and anti wrinkle treatments. Mrs Bridget Hemmant trained at Sheffield Medical School, and worked for 10 years at Moorfields Eye Hospital where she gained a thorough grounding in ophthalmology and some subspecialty training in oculoplastic and lacrimal surgery
Mr Avinash Prabhu specialises in medical, laser and surgical treatment of glaucoma including micro-incision cataract surgery. He is the East Anglia Deanery regional advisor for CESR applicants. He is the lead for undergraduate education in Ophthalmology for University of East Anglia
